How can I enter?
Entrants must be able to demonstrate knowledge of different subjects and be able to inspire and capture the imagination of the judging panel with interesting and surprising tips, advice or particular and unexpected skills.
Most importantly, the W-Icon must be confident, fun, outgoing and have a good sense of humour! She must be ready and willing to take part in filming and present tips and advice for the ‘How to’ guides to engage and entertain the viewing public.
The W-Icon will be expected to positively discuss the competition with the media and must be able to commit time (maximum of two days) to the filming of the content and to interviews and press activity around the campaign at the end of September/ October 2008. Reimbursements will be given to cover people’s reasonable travel and subsistence costs.
Two steps to entering
- All entrants can download an application form here. Alternatively speak to your local federation for further information.
- Once you have completed your entry form, please provide this to your local Federation Office to arrive on or before Friday 15th August with your name and WI/ Federation details clearly marked.
All entrants must be current members of the WI and over 18 years old
